Leticia Lacy is a Los Angeles-born artist whose vibrant career bridges the worlds of animation and fine art. With over two decades of experience in the animation industry, Lacy began her creative journey after earning a BFA in Fine Art Painting from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She quickly made her mark at major studios like Cartoon Network and Disney, contributing to iconic shows such as Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Powerpuff Girls, and Tron. Her role as production designer for Disney’s Wander Over Yonder and as art director for Billy Dilly’s Subterranean Summer and Nickelodeon’s Lucky showcased her mastery in both traditional and CG animation. She continued shaping visual narratives with projects like Middle School Moguls, the Rugrats reboot, and Sony’s Hotel Transylvania spinoff for Netflix, as well as painting backgrounds for The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse.

Now channeling her creative energy into fine art, Lacy brings her storytelling expertise and bold aesthetic into the gallery space. Her paintings, often created on round wooden panels, feature strong, expressive female figures navigating vivid, dreamlike worlds. With a love for vintage nostalgia reimagined through a modern lens, her work bursts with bright color palettes, layered symbolism, and a deep sense of movement and purpose.

In 2024 alone, Lacy’s work has been exhibited and collected in cities across the U.S., including Atlanta, Austin, Palm Beach, Dallas, and Santa Fe, as well as throughout California in San Francisco, Oceanside, Hermosa Beach, Laguna Beach, Santa Monica, Burbank, and Palm Springs. The circular format she often uses acts as a portal into alternate realities—offering viewers a glimpse into places where bold femininity, memory, and imagination intertwine.
